Hello! I'm a Peace Corps Volunteer currently serving in Ghana. I am stationed in a small (pop. 3,200) rural village in the Volta Region and have been here for a year and a half. My work is in health and water/sanitation. I am happy to see that your organization is working on water projects in my new favorite country and I am writing to ask if you are interested in supporting a project to build 55 latrines in my community. I know that I do not have to tell you the importance of sanitation and it's affect on community health. As of now, only 25% of my community has a working latrine at their houses, while the rest deficate in the fields surrounding the village.

I had hoped to have this project through USAID's partnership with Peace Corps, but they are sadly no longer allocating money for sanitation projects, so I am left to find the funds on my own. I have attempted to contact the Rotary Offices in Accra and Ho, but have been unsucessful. You can veiw my proposal for this project at https://www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm?shell=donate.contribute.projDetail&projdesc=641-304.

If you are at all interested in this project, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your time and consideration and continue your great work in Ghana!
